Violet- located in MA's story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
9/1/17 Violet is a gorgeous girl who was rescued from a shelter in Louisiana. She is currently in a foster home in MA, where she is thriving on the training and attention she gets. She is learning basic house manners and commands. She gets along very well with all the other dogs she has encountered, large and small. She is housetrained except for the occasional accident if not take out quickly enough. Violet is great with kids. She really loves all people. She is a fairy high energy dog and would be best suited for a family or single person who can give her plenty of exercise to burn off some of that excess energy. She would be the perfect dog for a runner/hiker. She is not a dog for a family who likes to stay in. As with any young dog or puppy, all of that energy could result in undesirable behavior if she is allowed to get bored. A fenced yard would be best for her, but we will consider applicants without a fence, depending on their location and other factors. We believe Violet is about a year old. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on all shots. She is located in MA so her new adopter will need to be in MA or willing to drive there to get her. Her adoption fee is $400 which includes the transport fee we had to pay to send her to a foster home where she would be safe. For more information, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com.

Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $300-$350, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $250. This includes spay/neuter if old enough, (If not old enough for spay/neuter, the puppy will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract, which will require the adopter to have him/her spayed/neutered no later than 6 months of age), up to date age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $140 per dog. We use Uber Dog Animal Rescue Transport, and you can see more about them at
